WebJan 1, 2015 · I tried the methods I found elsewhere (from recovery): open regedit, edit the BootExecute key (key doesn't exist to be edited); run chkdsk manually (completed on all drives with no errors); check if drives are flagged as dirty (none are); use chkntfs to disable the check on next startup (had no effect). WebAdd a comment 0 It must be done withing the first 10 seconds of the check. Hold power button until computer goes off. Should give you a countdown when it restarts to bypass it. During the first 10 Seconds of the check you should see the last line say something like "To skip disk checking, press any key withing 10 second (s)." Press any key. Share
