After setting up the tent we made the rewarding hike mile-long hike down to the lake.

Webb28 juli 2002 · Tiffany Mountain via Freezeout Ridge We arrived at Freezeout Pass trailhead (6500ft) around 10am. Despite all the hot weather the week before our time in the Methow Valley was quite pleasant. The temp at the pass was a little chilly so we put our dtr Lili into her snowsuit! The trail climbs through the trees for about a mile and a half. Lots of downed trees from an earlier fire to navigate for the first mile or so, but once through that, the trail opens up into a series of spectacular alpine meadows.
